OverviewThe new University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, will be a state-of-the-art hospital, research, and academic facility that provides expanded affordable healthcare services, including Level I Trauma services, with particular emphasis on orthopedics, neurosciences, and general medicine.This new medical center is being designed to complement the adjacent new VA Medical Center and augment, expand medical research opportunities, and improve access to patients; while continuing to provide a clinical education platform for LSU and Tulane Schools of Medicine.
